Doll Shark is set to be released on DVD,Bluray and even VHS on April 23rd. The Chucky television series and M3GAN, the TikTok dancing movie blockbuster, are largely to blame for the renewed fascination in killer dolls. Porcelain and plastic dolls appeared to be the most prevalent sorts of dolls used in horror stories. They are a fantastic source of horror content due to the uncanny valley effect. However, there is one type of doll that is only seldom mentioned in horror stories. I’m talking about stuffed animals! We hold them when we are sad and hopeless because they are warm and comforting. Even if I am an adult, I cannot deny the presence of a massive teddy bear in my bed. Plush toys, unlike their human-like plastic cousins, never endanger their owners.
Doll Shark tries to change the perception of these none threatening stuffed animals. It is a movie about a flesh eating fuzzy stuffed animal because, Why not?. It is attempted to combine the Shark Attack genre with Killer Doll genre.
Doll Shark Official Trailer
It’s trailer is a Music video so they are obviously trying to be a meme. I mean it worked the marketing of M3GAN by making her dance. It is directed by Mark Polonia who made movies like Bigfoot Vs. Zombies and Bigfoot Vs. Zombies. It is distributed by SRSCinemaLLC, A company that sells physical copies of Independent and foreign horror films.
Aside from Doll Shark, SRSCinemaLLC is also responsible for the existence of Puppet Shark. It is a Shark Horror movie with Puppets taking the place of humans. Yes the Shark is a puppet too. Imagine a gory version of Sesame Street.
