DLC Content On The Way For TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge
Critics praised TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge when it came out for modern consoles and PC last year. A new installment in the storied tradition of Ninja Turtle beat-em-ups, it retained the spirit of 90s arcade action while updating it to feel fresh again. Now publisher Dotemu and developer Tribute Games say they’re giving us more, which is fine with us.
Dimension Shellshock is the title for a new DLC add-on that should arrive later this year. Tribute is not revealing everything about it just yet, but they did show off a couple of features in the first teaser, released this morning. The first is a survival mode that sees your chosen characters facing off against an endless wave of Foot soldiers in specialized arenas. The second is the choice of new color palettes that will change the look of your Turtles, should it please you.
But the biggest attraction is the new characters, and Tribute is revealing just one: Usagi Miyamoto, the ronin rabbit. Usagi has appeared in just about every Ninja Turtles cartoon but he is not an Eastman and Laird creation: Stan Sakai invented him for his Usagi Yojimbo comic series. E & L became friends with him during their indie comics days, which proved to be very beneficial for Sakai. Most recently, Usagi Yojimbo was adapted into an animated Netflix movie.
More information about TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge: Dimension Shellshock should be revealed in the months ahead. In the meantime, have a trailer:
