Dead By Daylight Movie in the Works!
Dead By Daylight movie is becoming a reality! Behavior and Blumhouse just announced that the popular “asymmetric multiplayer survival horror online game” will become a movie. DBD had licensed characters from different companies and this time it is the other way around. I hope this collaboration will also lead to Blumhouse characters crossing over the Fog. Back in 2016, the game have humble beginnings. There are only 4 playable survivors which are Dwight, Meg, Jake, and Claudette. Then the only killers back then are Wraith, Hillbilly, and the face of the franchise which is Trapper. The community keeps on growing as years went by but the game became mainstream when they started licensing characters from other movies, games, and tv shows.
I don’t know how this partnership happens but Blumhouse is going to make a Dead by Daylight movie. Do not expect characters like Michael Myers, Albert Wesker, or Sadako to be in this film. The movie version will probably focus on the Original survivors and killers.

DBD currently has 31 Killers and 36 Survivors. The licensed ones will be out of the equation unless they are from Blumhouse. So I hope Blumhouse Horror movies like Purge, Blackphone, M3GAN, Ma, Get Out, Insidious, and more will become DBD chapters. I am sure fans are now making their dream casting for the DBD movie. I can expect the first 4 Survivors and 4 killers will make it. Then fan favorites like Feng Min, Nea, and Huntress will make it. This game has rich lore but most of them are wall text that you need to read. So seeing them finally in live action will be an amazing experience. Blumhouse is also working on a Friday night at Freddie’s movie. If that movie will be well made, then I will give Blumhouse my confidence for this movie. I hope we get something out of this partnership.
