Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc is coming soon — and closer than you think. Sony Pictures released the dub trailer this morning, and at the same time, bumped up the US release date from October 29 to October 24. You’ll be able to experience all the ultraviolence five days earlier!
But that violence may be mixed with…love. Yup, that’s the theme of the Reze Arc. Denji, the “Chainsaw Man” of the series, has nursed feelings for his boss Makima for some time, but never worked up the courage to ask her out until this movie. No sooner does he land a date, however, than he runs into Reze, an alluring barista who has him questioning if he should really go for Makima or for this new girl.
Don’t start shipping Denji and Reze just yet. Unfortunately the promo campaign kinda gives this away, but she’s a Devil in disguise with the power to create massive explosions. The real reason Reze has come onto Denji is to seduce him to her side. Things are about to get messy.
Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc stars Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Shiori Izawa as Pochita, Tomori Kusunoki as Makima, Fairouz Ai as Power and Reina Ueda as Rezi. Tatsuya Yoshihara serves as director, and Studio MAPPA provides the animation, which from the below trailer looks quite stellar. The movie opens first in Japan September 19, then everywhere else October 24.
