Caddy Hack: They’re Not All Right, Everyone Worry About Them

Someone created a horror parody of the 1980s comedy classic Caddyshack. I could stop there and you’d probably all be sold, but it’s my job to continue. Caddy Hack is the name of a demented new riff where the gophers aren’t just a pain in the neck, they’re downright murderous.

The movie, of course, takes place at a stuck-up country club where the owners and most of the paying attendees are rich jerks. Worse yet, caddies have been disappearing left and right, and rather that rooting out the cause, the owner is trying to cover it up. But you can only keep an army of fanged gophers with glowing red eyes underground for so long. It’s up to an unhinged groundskeeper (where’s Bill Murray when you need him) to take on the rodent menace.

Caddy Hack stars Jim Gordon, Jake Foy, Chrissy Cavallo, Nick Twist, Ilene Sullivan, and John Evans. The movie was thought up, written and directed by Anthony Catanese, with Sara Casey, Scott Miller, Jim Gordon, Joseph Kuzemka, Rob Hauschild and Cantonese himself serving as producers.

“WELL? WE’RE WAITING.” Hold your horses for a bit. Caddy Hack will premiere at Kevin Smith’s Smodcastle theater in Atlantic Highlands, NJ on August 11, followed by digital, Blu Ray and DVD releases (through Wild Eye) in October. Be on the lookout and we’ll pass along any updates as we get them.

Premiering at Kevin Smith’s Smodcastle theater in Atlantic Highlands, NJ on August 11th…Anthony Catanese’s Caddy Hack! In the film, which Catanese wrote and directed, a struggling golf course suffers a string of caddy murders at the paws of pesticide-mutated gofers, while the greedy owner of the facility tries to cover up the carnage and an unhinged groundkeeper wages all out war on the vicious vermin.

I cannot wait for the release of Caddy Hack! The simmering scenes where the caddies start to vanish and the groundskeeper defends himself from the mutant gophers are already in my mind. It will be a challenging and entertaining experience! Can't wait to witness how the snobby country club is destroyed by those nasty gophers.

I'm not sure if turning Caddyshack into a horror movie is such a great idea. The original was a hilarious comedy, and I feel like this new version might ruin the charm. Plus, murderous gophers? That's just too over-the-top for me.

Caddy Hack sounds like a total blast! I can't wait to see those gophers with their glowing red eyes causing chaos at the country club. Finally, a horror movie that doesn't hold back! Caddy Hack sounds like it's going to be a blood-soaked spectacle. I can't wait to see those gory gopher attacks and the mayhem they cause. Bring on the blood and guts!Caddy Hack seems like it's going to be a gore fest, and I am totally here for it! I love movies that push the boundaries of violence and unleash the carnage. This twisted version of Caddyshack might just become my new favorite horror parody.

If Caddy Hack delivers on its promise of gruesome gopher murders, count me in! I'm a huge fan of gory films, and this one sounds like it's going to satisfy my craving for blood and guts. I'm ready to be shocked and thrilled!

Meh, Caddy Hack sounds like a corny and low-budget attempt at capitalizing on the nostalgia of Caddyshack. Mutated gophers? Seriously? It just sounds stupid and like they ran out of original ideas. I'll pass on this one and save my money for a movie that actually has substance and quality production value.

Caddy Hack should go all out on the gore. I want to witness complete carnage caused by those gophers, leaving the audience quaking and cringing. This film will undoubtedly appeal to horror fans if they can deliver the shock factor. I adore violent, disturbing movies that make you wonder about your own sanity. I'm looking forward to the film's release because of this dark spin on Caddyshack.

The idea of a greedy owner trying to cover up caddy murders while an unhinged groundskeeper battles mutant gophers is pure comedic genius. Who would have thought that a horror parody of Caddyshack could be so hilarious?
