Axiom Verge Coming to Xbox One and Wii U
The critically acclaimed, award-winning video game Axiom Verge has been confirmed for an Xbox One and Wii U release for later this year. Creator Tom Happ officially made the announcement today. The retro-style game will be available for the Xbox One and the Nintendo eShop for Wii U sometime in 2016.
Axion Verge is an action-platform-exploration title with a retro 16-bit style influenced by titles such as Metroid, Contra and Blaster Master, but with modern design sensibilities. The game also offers power over glitches letting players scramble enemies, corrupt environments and find hidden areas in a hostile alien world as the players seeks to uncover their roles within it.
Axiom Verge was completely created by Tom Happ, including the game’s programming, design, art, animations and music over the course of five years. The game was previously available on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC via Steam. But soon Xbox One and Wii U owners will get an opportunity to play it as well. Here’s a breakdown of some of the features for the Xbox One and Wii U release:
- Over 40 weapons and tools
- Almost 100 upgrades
- Over 80 creatures
- Almost 1000 rooms
- 6 supported languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese
The official release date for Axiom Verge for both consoles will be revealed later on. You can check out an earlier trailer for the game in the player below.
