The Avengers Assemble Against Ultron in New Trailer
Marvel Studios has released the second trailer for the upcoming, highly anticipated sequel for The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron. The new trailer is available in the video player below.
The trailer certainly looks ominous and intense. With Ultron as the villain, the trailers so far come off as dark and chilling. The new trailer continued with the Pinocchio motif with a chilling, creepy version of “I’ve Got No Strings.” For the sake of this trailer, rather than a creepier version of the song with lyrics, it is only a chilling melody in the background.
The footage showcases more destruction, more Ultron and more footage of Iron Man vs. Hulk with the Hulkbuster armor. There is also some more And Serkis, who is rumored to be playing Ulysses Klaw. With a Black Panther film on the horizon, one wonders if Serkis as Klaw will work into setting up the nation of Wakanda along with T’Challa in the film. Tony Stark’s dialogue, “This vulnerable world needs something more powerful than any of us,” suggests why Stark decides to help create Ultron.
James Spader’s voice as Ultron is absolutely chilling. Ultron certainly looks to be a no-nonsense, imposing threat, especially when he states, “I’m going to tear you apart from the inside.” With events eventually leading into Captain America: Civil War, it is hard to see all the Avengers getting out of this film unscathed, or even alive.
In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1. Along with Ant-Man on July 17, 2015 looks to be another big and exciting year for Marvel Studios.
