ASTLIBRA Revision Announced For Switch Release

The action JRPG ASTLIBRA Revision was released on PC a year ago. The game’s publisher just announced a Switch version of the game is coming fairly soon.

ASTLIBRA is a side-scrolling hack and slash adventure with heavy RPG elements. You know the drill by now: by leveling up your character, you can make them proficient in one of several skills — offense, defense, gifted with magic, etc. Upgrading your weapons and armor is crucial to standing a chance against the various boss monsters in your way. The game offers six difficulty settings if the action gets too overwhelming.

There’s a lot of content here. Not only is anyone new to the game getting the entire main campaign, there’s a lengthy string of postgame missions, and the Switch version folds in the DLC chapter The Cave of Phantom Mist. Developer Keizo estimates it will take the average player 60 hours to do everything.

  • Dive into a Constantly Expanding World: With over 60 hours of gameplay, awaken to a no man’s land as the protagonist goes on a quest to find the girl he met during his childhood.
  • From One Time Travel to the Next: Explore a variety of locations featuring refined graphics by industry veteran, Shigatake of Vanillaware
  • Travel Back to the Golden Age Of JRPGs: Hack and slash through countless enemies, mixing up your strategies to overcome any foe.
  • Forge Your Character: Master several forms of combat, from swords and bows, to magical abilities. Craft weapons and armor and wear them throughout combat to ultimately master them.
  • Vanquish Almighty Creatures: Face an ensemble of fierce and deadly god-like bosses, all with their own unique challenges to overcome.

Check out ASTLIBRA Revision when it hits Switch November 16. Preorders are open today at a 20% discount.

This game sounds dope. I love action RPGs, and the idea of mastering different combat styles is appealing. The 60 hours of gameplay is impressive, and I might give it a try when it releases on November 16.

Yipeee kayay! this is some exciting stuff. I've been a fan of ASTLIBRA on PC, and the news of a Switch release is like a dream come true. The game's blend of hack and slash action with RPG elements always appealed to me. I mean, who doesn't enjoy leveling up their character, mastering different skills, and facing off against epic boss monsters? It's the kind of game that keeps you hooked for hours on end. What really caught my attention is the amount of content this version offers. Not only do you get the full main campaign, but there's also a ton of postgame missions, and they're even throwing in The Cave of Phantom Mist DLC. That's a lot of gameplay right there, estimated at 60 hours for an average player! I'm ready to dive into this no man's land and relive the golden age of JRPGs.

I absolutely love ASTLIBRA on PC! It's been a fantastic experience, and I've sunk many hours into it. However, I won't be picking up the Switch version since I'm quite content with my PC version. That said, I'm convinced that Switch players are in for a treat. The portability of the Switch provides a whole new way to enjoy the game, and I'm sure it will resonate with fans who prefer gaming on the go. This game is a gem, and I'm excited for those who will get to experience it in a more portable format. Happy gaming, Switch players!

The inclusion of The Cave of Phantom Mist DLC chapter is the icing on the cake. It's not just an expansion; it's a journey into the unknown with more content to savor. Keizo's estimate of 60 hours of gameplay to complete everything is music to my ears. It's a testament to the depth of this game and the value it offers to players. The thought of revisiting this golden age of JRPGs, hacking and slashing through hordes of enemies, mixing up combat strategies, and conquering those god-like bosses, gives me goosebumps.
