Anthony Mackie Talks DC/Marvel Rivalry

When there’s a brand, or multiple brands, fighting for “control” of a certain market, and both sides have dedicated fanbases, a “war” of sorts is very natural to occur.

This has definitely been the case with the fans of Marvel and DC Comics, who have been fighting for a long time about which brand is better. This has only been intensified as DC Comics is now truly entering the shared cinematic universe with their characters. Both sides claim to have better things. Some grounded in fact, while other simply in pride.

During a press junket, as reported by Flickering Myth, Anthony Mackie, who plays Falcon in the Marvel films, noted about what he thinks about the “rivalry” between them.

“It’s still strange to me that people think DC and Marvel are rivals, thinking we sit on the Marvel sets talking (trash) about DC.”

This seems to be a very honest, true, answer, this was elaborated upon when he was asked who his favorite movie Batman was, to which he replied:

“If I had to pick, I’d pick Batman… Michael Keaton is my favourite Batman, though if I got to hang out with Morgan Freeman for the rest of my life, I’d be happy!”
