Have you heard the story about the intrepid adventurer from the early 20th century who was searching for a supernatural treasure? No doubt many times. Adam’s Venture Origins, from Soedesco, is not the first time we’ve seen it in a video game either, but not all video games need to be totally original.
The year is 1925 and you are Adam Venture, intrepid explorer. Together with your companion Evelyn, you discover a mysterious object with weird symbols on it. It could be just what you’re looking for: the clues to find the lost Garden of Eden! And that would be exceptionally ironic, given your two names are Adam and Eve (lyn)!
What’s missing is a snake, and though it’s not a literal one, the sinister Clairvaux Corporation will stand in nicely. They have the same goals you do, but their intents aren’t as noble. Can you track down the lost Eden while protecting it from evil forces?
• Delve into ancient ruins and recover mysterious artifacts • Try to solve clever and creative puzzles on your journey • Traverse long forgotten tombs and crumbling cities using the grappling hook • Get involved in a rich storyline that weaves adventure with historical overtones
Adam’s Venture Origins launched on Nintendo Switch today. Currently it’s only available digitally — there are plans to release a physical version, but they’ve been delayed due to the pandemic. The game can also be found on Playstation 4, XBox One and PC.
