Adam Warlock And Ravagers End Credits Seen Almost Wasn’t In GOTG Vol.2
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was one of the biggest hits Marvel has ever made, and it was due in no small part by the greatest of James Gunn, who wrote and directed the films. His insight into what made the Guardians of the Galaxy great lent to some of the most hilarious moments of the film, as well as some of the coolest end-credits sequences ever.
For example, in GOTG Vol.2, we got to see a tease of the birth of legendary comics character Adam Warlock, who has both fought with and against the GOTG in the comics. But, despite his fame, and Gunn writing the “birth” scene really early on, he almost didn’t put it in the film:
“We almost didn’t include the Adam Warlock scene because he was definitely not in Avengers 3 or 4 and we had no plans for him in general.” he said on Twitter.
Furthermore, he noted that the final scene with the Ravagers reuniting was something he came up after the filming of the movie had finished primary stages:
“I awoke with a vision of the Stakar Ravagers scene in my head and couldn’t stop thinking about it for days.”
So, naturally, they put it in, and the fans loved it.
