A WORKING MAN 2025

A Working Man: Final Trailer

There are mere days remaining before the release of Amazon MGM Studios’ A Working Man. The studio has released one final trailer before the film releases this Friday.

The trailer shows off more of the bone-crunching ultraviolence you’d expect from a Statham action piece. The promotional campaign puts a focus on how his character can use pretty much any object he finds as a deadly weapon. Rope? You’re strangled? Stick? You’re dead. Squirrel that just happened to wander on set? Death from asphyxiation due to live squirrel shoved down the throat.

A Working Man is based on the book “Levon’s Trade” by Chuck Dixon and stars Jason Statham as, ostensibly, a working man, but as you might expect from a role played by Statham, he’s a lot more than that. Statham plays Levon Cade, a decorated military black ops merc who has given up his dangerous career for a quiet existence as a construction worker. But just when he thought he was out, they PULL him back in when human traffickers kidnap his boss’s daughter. He’ll need to dig up all his old training, skills and senses to bring her back home.

In addition to Statham, A Working Man stars Jason Flemyng, Merab Ninidze, Maximilian Osinski, Cokey Falkow, with Michael Peña and David Harbour. Supporting roles include Noemi Gonzalez, Arianna Rivas, Emmett J. Scanlan and Eve Mauro. Statham and Sylvester Stallone serve as producers alongside Chris Long, John Friedberg, David Ayer, Bill Block and Kevin King Templeton.

A Working Man will be released in theaters this Friday, March 28.

Jason Statham never disappoints! The way he uses random objects as weapons reminds me why I love his movies. I can already picture that squirrel sceneโ€”itโ€™s absurd but in the best way possible. Heโ€™s mastered the art of gritty, efficient action. This one is a must-watch for me, especially with Stallone involved as a producer. They know how to deliver pure, no-nonsense entertainment.

Iโ€™ve read Levonโ€™s Trade, and while I like Statham, Iโ€™m not sure if heโ€™s the right fit for Levon Cade. The book has a different toneโ€”gritty, methodical, and focused on Cadeโ€™s internal struggles. Stathamโ€™s style is more fast-paced and over-the-top. That said, Iโ€™ll give it a chance. Hopefully, they stay true to Chuck Dixonโ€™s original vision rather than turning it into another generic action flick.

This just looks like another standard Statham film with a slightly different setup. Heโ€™s a retired badass? Check. He gets pulled back in? Check. Brutal fight scenes? Check. I get that people love his movies, but I wish he would take on more varied roles. At least David Harbour and Michael Peรฑa are in itโ€”they might add some depth.

This is what I want from an action movie! Statham is one of the last true action stars, and this looks like something straight out of the golden era of action films. It has that Commando or Rambo feel, and knowing Stallone is producing makes me even more excited. This is a day-one watch for me!

I have mixed feelings. The trailer makes it look like pure chaos, which is great for action fans, but I hope they donโ€™t just rely on non-stop violence. A good story and strong characters matter too. If this is just another mindless action flick, Iโ€™ll pass. If thereโ€™s something more, maybe Iโ€™ll check it out.

Statham is the best in the business when it comes to brutal, efficient action. Nobody else delivers fight scenes with this level of energy. It doesnโ€™t matter if the story is predictableโ€”his movies are about the execution. If I see Stathamโ€™s name on a movie, I know Iโ€™m getting my moneyโ€™s worth.

Letโ€™s be honestโ€”no one is watching this for deep storytelling. People want to see Statham beat up bad guys in creative ways, and thatโ€™s exactly what this movie will deliver. Sometimes, you just want a simple action movie where the hero destroys everything in his path. Iโ€™ll grab some popcorn and enjoy the ride.
