We’re now partway through the second season of the medieval reincarnation anime I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince. Technically there’s more to that title; it’s followed by “so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability” but we’re just shortening it to “7th Prince” for the sake of not wearing out our typing fingers.
7th Prince takes place in a world full of magic, but getting to use it requires a lot of studying AND being genetically lucky enough to be born in a magically inclined bloodline. One sorcerer has a passion for magic but never had the aptitude for it nor the genes to be truly powerful. But as luck would have it, in his next life he has become Lloyd, the seventh prince of the Kingdom of Saloum. He has all his previous memories AND a strong magical bloodline, giving him a super head start. The anime goes on from there.
The previous season of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince was 12 episodes long, and the second season premiered it first episode last month. Episode 16 premiered yesterday, and here’s Crunchy’s text teaser:
Episode 16: Civil War
With weapons created from Luxal weapons, Sylpha and the group cut down wave after wave of ghouls until they are confronted by the Neuron Blighted, who can control spinal threads. As that battle rages on, at the church’s inner garden, the mysterious priest has Father Harbal by the throat; and Escher, who stumbles upon the scene, finds herself in danger.
Each episode will be subtitled; Crunchyroll has yet to announce when the dub version will premiere. It’s worth noting Season One is available in English, French and Dutch audio. New episodes of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince will debut Wednesdays on the Crunchyroll app.
