Young Justice Showrunner Wants Third Season
One of the greatest crimes in television is when a show that has such a good grip on its premise, with characters that fans adore and love, and a story that continues to grow, evolve, and build…gets cancelled.
Too many shows have had this unfortunate fate. One in recent years that fans still yearn for is Young Justice. The DC Comics show aired on Cartoon Network for two seasons before being cancelled to the horror of fans. Yet, despite this, fans still want a third season. And one of the show runners for Young Justice, Brandon Vietti, is right there with them. though he admits he doesn’t know if it’ll ever get a third season.
“I don’t know,” said Vietti with a laugh. “That’s the best answer I can give you. I’d be happy to do another one; Greg [Weisman] would be; Phil Bourassa, the character designer. We’d all in a heartbeat come back to do a third season if the Powers-That-Be feel they want to do that.”
But, he does note that he and his team are ready if they do get the greenlight, as they have a plethora of material they haven’t used yet.
“I love that world. We were not done telling stories; we had tons of ideas for more seasons ready to go, so yeah, I’d love to get into it.”
