Sega has announced that they are set to release Yakuza Kiwami, a remake of the 2005 game Yakuza, on PlayStation 4 in Europe and North America this August. “Rebuilt from the ground up” with new graphics and audio as well as technical improvements, the game will release on August 29 and be available at a price of $29.99.
As well as the enhancements outlined above, Sega has promised that the new release will also include a raft of new content that was not present in the original release. In addition to 30 minutes of new cutscenes, there is also a new Majima Everywhere system that means that Goro Majima can surprise the player with a combat challenge at certain points during gameplay.
Those who pick up a first run copy of the game or pre-order it will get a special Steebook edition of the game.
