WWE 2K17: New Trailer Goes to Suplex City
The next WWE game is nearly here, and 2K Games and WWE released a new cinematic trailer this week for WWE 2K17. The next installment of WWE’s 2K video game franchise finally hits the shelves next month. You can check out the new video, featuring new footage, in the player below.
The trailer is mostly live-action, but it’s a lot of fun. It’s basically a tour of the fictional “Suplex City” with some cool appearances by WWE Superstars such as Seth Rollins, Big Show, Dean Ambrose, Paul Heyman, and of course, the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. Ever since Brock Lesnar first uttered the phrase Suplex City during his WrestleMania match with Roman Reigns, it became an indelible part of the fan culture of wrestling. It’s amusing to see it get worked into a trailer for a new game.
Overall, it’s a fun live-action promotional trailer that caters to fans. The true test though will be the final product for the game. It certainly boasts one of the best and most inclusive rosters for a WWE game that’s ever been made.
WWE 2K17 finally arrives on October 11, where fans can play as Brock Lesnar and take their opponents to Suplex City in the game’s virtual ring. The game will be playable for Xbox One, PlayStation and Windows PC.
