Something called Sonic Toys Party has apparently been leaked. A gameplay trailer showed up on the YouTube channel “The Sonic Show,” and though it was quickly taken down, mirrors exist elsewhere, like in this tweet:
We're happy to share a clean, non-watermarked version of the Sonic Toys Party leaked trailer, courtesy of our friends at @TailsChannel. Many thanks to them for sourcing this! Big up that Splash Hill remix! #SonicNews #SonicTheHedgehog pic.twitter.com/do8o4YdzJg

What is Sonic Toys Party? For starters, it appears to be for mobile devices, judging by “Tap To Start.” Secondly, it appears to take heavy inspiration from Fall Guys. Scenes are shown of dozens of Sonic characters competing on racing tracks littered with tons of obstacles designed to knock them off. As with Fall Guys, only one can be left standing. And since there AREN’T dozens of Sonic characters, at least not officially, Sonic, Knuckles and Tails are repeated endlessly in the crowd, with labels above their heads.
Bot contestants are labeled as “bot” but the question of whether you’ll run into as many as the trailer shows is unknown. If Sonic Toys Party gains a large enough userbase there would be no need for it. Each match supports up to 32 players.
But there could be more than just Sonic in the works for this game? IGN says “collaborations with other Sega and third-party franchises are planned” and that Persona and Saint Seiya characters could be playable in the game at some point. Persona is developed by Atlus, which Sega owns, and Saint Seiya is a popular anime property.
An actual, official announcement from Sega regarding Sonic Toys Party is expected soon.
