Stacy’s Mom by Fountains of Wayne becomes a series of songs with continues Narrative

Stacy’s Mom is the only Mainstream hit of the Pop-rock band Fountains of Wayne. The song becomes an iconic part of the early 2000s. The song may have been criticized for objectifying a woman, but it also empowers older women. Sadly, We will never get to hear this song performed live by Fountains of Wayne again. Unfortunately, its vocalist Adam Schlesinger passed away. He died because of Covid 19 but his legend lives on. The song is about Stacy, who likes a boy, but she doesn’t know he is more interested in her Mom. The song spawned sequels in covers with alterations to the lyrics. Stacy has romantic feelings for a boy who is her schoolmate at school but its one sided. She hangs out around with him by her pool, which makes her assume they are dating. No, he wants to see her Mom, the object of his desires.

Stacy’s one-sided romance didn’t end well. So she decided to move with her dad. Her parents are separated, and she sees this as an opportunity to be away from her Mom, who is just too hot that guys rather be with her.  Little did Stacy know, Her dad would get involved in a love triangle. Her heart got broken again because of her hypnotically attractive parents.

So Stacy decided to move with her Grandma because she assumed  her next boyfriend won’t find her granny hot.

Stacy Goes to College in her brother’s dorm because grandma steals her man too. There is a new guy in her life, and everyone thinks they are dating. Little did she know, He sneaks out from her to Hook up with her brother.

Stacy  is dealing from PTSD because of what happened to her. The Smell of freshly cut lawn gives her flashbacks.  She decided to write her song to tell the tale of what she had been through from those guys. Will she ever find someone who won’t dump her  for her family members.

 

A guy finally fall in love with Stacy  but she seemed to be over relationships. She became nihilistic about love.
