Every now and then, life will surprise you sometimes, and in a good way. Doesn’t usually happen. Happened tonight.

My cynical self assumed we had entered a new era of television, the kind where “cult followings” don’t matter anymore. The kind where if a TV show doesn’t become a rare instant overnight success, it’s cancelled hours later. The kind where executives live in hermetically sealed dwellings surrounded by 50-foot-high castle walls protected by alligator-infested moats, and frequently make inscrutable, unexplainable decisions that make sense only to them. The kind of world where you can yell all you want, and keep it up for months, but they just won’t care or listen anymore, unless the algorithm god they worship grants it so.

Twitter has had periodic “#SAVEWARRIORNUN” fan storms every five days for months now, ever since the series was abruptly assassinated by Netflix last December. The viewership numbers were healthy, but stuff like that doesn’t seem to matter anymore in there. Netflix cancels a lot of things for no apparent reason, but they seem especially inclined to prematurely axe shows that target younger viewers. The only exception is something like “Wednesday” where the hit status is so undeniable they would never get away with it. But only one show out of 10,000 gets THAT lucky.

So I expected all the furor over the show I’m about to mention to fall on deaf ears, or at least ears pretending to be deaf. Netflix simply doesn’t care about fanbases anymore; if I was somehow able to break into their fortress to ask them, they’d probably tell me those fans didn’t “hit the right taste clusters” or something. It was a hopeless fight; it’s a new, improved cruel world.

But that all changed tonight. Because tonight, at around 10 PM Pacific, we received this post from showrunner Simon Barry. More information will come as we get it.

My Theory why the show is saved, First it has a dedicated fanbase, second the show runner already have a script and vision how the show will run. We have a Writer and Actor's strike right now. Streaming services and Tv Networks have demands for new content. I wonder what Network/service gave this show a chance?

I dont even watch this show but I admire it when fans wins against cancelation. I wish shows I liked that got canceled were given the same chance. I am happy for Warrior Nun Fans.

I am now a Happy Lesbian, I cried and send death threats to Netflix Support when they canceled this show. Sapphic shows have low survival rate even if they are popular. So this victory makes me happy. I signed up to multiple petitions to make sure this show will comeback.

You know, it's interesting how the television landscape has changed. It feels like networks and streaming platforms are constantly canceling shows left and right without giving them a fair chance. But the fact that Warrior Nun has been revived gives me hope. It shows that sometimes, the voice of the fans can make a difference. I wonder if this is going to stay on Netflix or it finds a new home.

Well, talk about a plot twist! I never thought I'd see the day when a fan campaign actually worked. It's like a real-life underdog story. I mean, who would've guessed that #SAVEWARRIORNUN could make such a difference? It just goes to show the power of passionate fans and their ability to rally together for something they love. I'm thrilled that Warrior Nun is getting another chance at life. Now, the big question is, where will its new home be.

I can't believe it! The fans of Warrior Nun are so amazing. They worked really hard to bring the show back, and it actually worked! It's like a real-life adventure, and I'm super happy for them. Now we just need to find out where the show will be available again. I hope it's a place that loves all the exciting stuff that happens in the show. Go Warrior Nun fans!

Finally, Warrior Nun is coming back for a third season, and it's such fantastic news, especially for those of us who appreciate seeing Sapphic content on screen. It's unfortunate that lesbian shows often face cancellation, so this hard fought renewal is a significant victory. . Here's to hoping the new season will continue to mesmerize audiences. I feel good because I am part of this fight. I flooded the hashtag to make any Streaming service hear the fan's voices. Now If Paper Girls and Julie an the Phantoms can have the same fate.

You know, I can sympathize with the disappointment felt by Warrior Nun fans. It's tough when a show you're passionate about gets canceled abruptly, leaving you wanting more. I remember a similar experience when I joined the petition to save the show Selfie a few years ago. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, it didn't have the same fate as Warrior Nun. It can be disheartening to see shows with dedicated fan bases not getting the chance to continue their stories. But I applaud the Warrior Nun fans for their perseverance and ability to make a difference. It's a reminder that sometimes, even though things don't work out for our favorite shows, there's still hope for others.

Okay, I guess I'll give credit where credit is due. Congratulations to the Warrior Nun fans for successfully saving their beloved show. It must feel great to see your efforts pay off and secure a new season. Meanwhile, us Julie and the Phantoms fans are still reeling from the disappointment of our show getting canceled. We had great ratings and a passionate fan base, but the pandemic seemed to have different plans. It's frustrating to see other shows getting a second chance while ours didn't. But hey, I'm genuinely happy for you all. Enjoy your new season, and maybe one day we'll get the same opportunity.
