Tv Fans have a thing called Sapphic curse. Netflix and other streaming service had tendencies to cancel shows with Lesbian characters. It happened to First Blood, Glow,Paper Girls and the Wilds. You can see BL (Boy’s love) or gay make themed shows getting multiple seasons and series completions but not for the love between women.
Netflix YA/Teen shows also have low survival rate and sadly Warrior also falls under the same category. Fans also notice that Warrior Nun got renewed on the first Season during the times, Ava’s love interest is guy. On the second Season, they made the fan ship , Avatrice Canon which is a lesbian pair and the show got canceled. The only Netflix show with Lesbians on it that gets a complete run is Orange is the New Black.
Despite having no promotion, Warrior Nun have a passionate fanbase. So imagine if Netflix bothered promoting it.
The Warrior Nun is a high budget show with all the CGI and its fully filmed in Spain. So its ratings may have higher expectations from Netflix, especially it is an American Production. The people behind the show are trying to find a new home.
