Warner Bros. Executives Love Ben Affleck’s Batman, Looking to Develop Three Solo-Bat Films
When making a movie, one group of people that needs to be pleased in one way or another are the higher ups at the studio, the executives and owners who allow this movie to be filmed. Numerous films have been canned because the executives were not happy with the results. According to Den of Geek, a private screening of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was shown to the higher ups at Warner Bros. A take that wasn’t totally finished per se, but pretty close to finished. The executives were reportedly so impressed with the cut that they gave the film a standing ovation. In addition, reports are claiming that because of how much the execs were impressed with Ben Affleck’s performance as the new Batman, that they’re considering giving him a three-movie deal for solo Batman films. That is along with Justice League and Suicide Squad, there could be Ben Affleck as Batman in three more solo films.
Now obviously, this is still incredibly early. The overall performance of the movie could change things in an instant. However, you have to wonder, if they’re that impressed with a non-finished version, how are fans going to react to the completed product?
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice arrives March 26th, 2016.
