The next Warhammer game is on the way! Bigben Interactive and Eko Software’s Warhammer: Chaosbane is now on track for a June 4 general release, but you can start playing earlier than that if you really want to.

An early access beta has been announced for those who preorder the game on their machine of choice. Preorders for any version of the game count — Standard, Digital Deluxe or Magnus. The first beta will be live from March 7 through March 13 on all platforms; a date for the second beta (it’s expected April-ish) will be announced soon.

  • Pre-downloads start March 6th at 1 a.m. (PST)
  • Beta starts on March 7th at 1 a.m. (PST)
  • 1st phase ends on March 13th at 1 a.m. (PST)

In this beta players will be allowed to develop their characters up to level 20, explore the sewers of Nuln, and fight Nurgle demons. Up to four players can play co-op at once, but just two characters will be available:  Konrad, the Imperial soldier, and Elontir, the High-Elf Mage.

Preorders for Warhammer: Chaosbane are open on the XBox Store, the PS Store, and Steam. If you’d like to participate, you’ve still got some time.

The first hack and slash to take place in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world, Warhammer: Chaosbane plunges the player into the heart of the Old World, a continent marked by the Great War Against Chaos, a bloody conflict which ravaged the Empire of men. They will embody a human, a high elf, a wood elf, or a dwarf, and discover the iconic locations of the Warhammer Fantasy Battles universe that’s captured the imaginations of millions of fans across the world.
