Warcraft 3 Is Receiving a New Update Next Week
As odd as it sounds, Warcraft 3 is receiving its first update in a long time. Blizzard officially announced that Warcraft 3, first released in 2002, is getting a new update. In addition, Patch 1.27 is going to be available worldwide on Tuesday, March 15. You can check out the announcement video below.
Blizzard Classic Games lead Robert Bridenbecker makes the announcement in the video. Update 1.27 for Warcraft 3 will be available around the world. He stated: “Thank you very much for your support over the past decade, playing Warcraft III. Over the past few months, you may have noticed we have introduced a new battle platform. It’s introduced features like matchmaking [and] the ability to communicate with your friends at a level that is unparalleled to anything we have done with Warcraft III in the market before. And on top of that, we’re proud to announce that on March 15, the next patch for Warcraft III will be available in the market, simultaneously with the rest of the globe.”
What the update will entail is not clear. The full details and notes for the patch will probably be revealed later on. Warcraft was first released in 2002. Along with the update for Diablo 2, it seems like Blizzard is on quite the retro kick as of late.
