Unity Cup Arrives in Umamusume Global on Nov 6

Unity Cup: A Fresh Start for Umamusume Global Players

The Unity Cup arrives on November 6, bringing a brand-new experience to Umamusume: Pretty Derby (Global). This special mode celebrates the game’s half-year anniversary with faster training, higher ranks, and exciting rewards. Many players found the single-player career mode repetitive. The Unity Cup completely changes that feeling.

A New Career Mode with a Twist

In the Unity Cup, each run takes place in an alternate timeline. Even if you already trained a certain Uma, she won’t remember your past bond. You’ll begin from scratch again. However, training is faster and more rewarding this time.

In the regular career mode, average players often get stuck around B rank. That’s been a long-standing wall for many trainers. In the Unity Cup, you can easily reach S rank and even aim for the U rank, which is the highest possible. This makes it much more exciting and satisfying to develop your favorite Umas.

The Unity Cup also connects with your main account. The money and carats you earn transfer to your regular gameplay. So, your effort in this mode still benefits your long-term progress.

Building Your Team and Strategy

In the Unity Cup, you select one main Uma and six support cards. These support cards become your teammates during training. This teamwork-focused setup adds a new strategic layer to the game.

Four Umas automatically join your team by default:

If you use other Umas as support cards instead, your team becomes larger. But some players claim smaller teams train faster and achieve higher scores. Choosing the right balance between size and synergy will be crucial for success.

Another exciting detail is that you can use Umas you don’t own yet. If you have their support cards, they can appear on your team and even become playable. This gives everyone a chance to experiment with new Umas and team builds.

Story and Setting: Riko Takes Charge

In this timeline, the usual chairwoman Yayoi Akikawa is unavailable. The story explains that she is on a long business trip overseas. During her absence, Riko Kashimoto takes over as the acting chairwoman of Tracen Academy.

Riko is strict, professional, and highly focused on teamwork. Under her leadership, training becomes more disciplined and intense. She appears throughout the story, guiding your team and pushing everyone toward improvement. Although she may seem cold at first, her deeper motivations add emotion and purpose to the narrative.

Her presence also sets the tone for the Unity Cup’s competitive spirit. Riko’s leadership symbolizes unity, determination, and growth, all themes that drive this new mode.

Why You Should Play the Unity Cup

The Unity Cup gives players a faster, fairer, and more strategic training system. It lets you build stronger Umas in less time. You can finally break past the old B-rank barrier and reach S rank, or even the ultimate U rank. That’s a major step forward for global players.

Beyond higher ranks, it’s also a fun way to refresh your experience. Each Uma starts with a clean slate, so every run feels new again. You’ll rediscover your favorite characters while enjoying better pacing and meaningful rewards.

The mode also supports your main account. Since your Unity Cup earnings apply globally, every run adds value to your ongoing progress.

Tips Before You Start

  • Prepare your support cards early. They define your team’s performance.

  • Try different team sizes to find the most efficient setup.

  • Focus on synergy between speed, stamina, and intelligence stats.

  • Watch the official Cygames YouTube video for gameplay previews.

  • Remember, smaller teams often lead to quicker training results.

  • Aim for S rank first, then challenge yourself to reach U rank.

Mark your calendars for November 6. Whether you’re new or returning, the Unity Cup is your chance to start fresh, train smarter, and race toward the top, all the way to U rank.

I wish we can use the Unity Cup UMAs that we will graduate as parents for the regular career mode. Because I would die for having strong UMAs as parents for career mode. Because it's hard to get an A-rank UMA. And you have a quota of 2 UMAs to borrow from friends per day. And being able to make strong UMAs will make your life easier.

Honestly, I’m kind of frustrated that we have to start from scratch again. I spent so much time building bonds and maxing out my favorite Umas in career mode, and now all that progress just disappears in this new timeline. It would have been cool if the Unity Cup continued our existing stories instead of resetting everything. I wanted to see how my trained Umas would grow or interact after everything we’ve been through. Still, I guess something is better than nothing. At least this new mode looks faster and has better rewards, so maybe it won’t feel like such a grind. I just hope it’s actually fun and not another system that sounds good on paper but ends up being repetitive again. If they’re going to make us restart, it better be worth it.

This game feels like a financial assault sometimes. Every update seems designed to make me spend more, and I’m honestly tired of it. I really hope the Unity Cup can be enjoyable without spending extra cash, because I’m already running low on resources and patience. My stash of carrots is almost gone, and without them, progress just crawls. It would be great if this new mode lets us farm carrots more easily or rewards them as part of the event. That would make things feel fair for players who can’t afford to keep paying. I like Umamusume, but I don’t want it to become a paywall marathon. If the Unity Cup can help balance that, then I’ll finally have a reason to keep playing without feeling punished for being free-to-play.

As someone who plays casually, I like that the Unity Cup will make it easier to reach S rank. I never got beyond B rank before, so this change motivates me to try again. The fast-paced format sounds less stressful, and using Umas I do not own is a great feature. I think this could attract a lot of returning players.

I had no idea this update was even coming, and now I’m honestly so excited even though I don’t fully know what to expect. It feels like a surprise gift dropped out of nowhere. Still, there’s one thing I’ve been wanting for so long — the option to get the specific Uma I actually want. The gacha system is just frustrating. Every time I roll, I keep getting the same Umas over and over again, and it kills the motivation to pull anymore. I wish they would let us purchase the Uma we want directly using carrots or some other in-game currency. That would make things fair and satisfying, especially for people who save up for months. I really hope the Unity Cup is a step in that direction. I’m ready to see new faces on my team and not the same ones I’ve been stuck with since launch.

I never cared about horses at all before, but this game completely changed that for me. I find myself watching the Kentucky Derby and other famous races now, just to understand more about the real-life inspirations behind the Umas. It’s strange because I never imagined being interested in horse racing, but the way the game makes each horse feel unique and full of personality really drew me in. Lately, I’ve even started thinking about buying my own horse someday, just to experience it firsthand. I never thought a mobile game could do that — turn someone completely uninterested into a fan who wants to take part in real horse racing. The Unity Cup just adds more excitement to that feeling. I can’t wait to see how it will make me connect even more with the characters.

This game is so frustrating sometimes. No matter how much I train my Umas, I always end up sent to the glue factory in races. Failure after failure after failure, and yet I keep playing. I don’t know why I do it — maybe it’s hope, maybe stubbornness. The grind can feel impossible, and losing over and over is exhausting. I really hope the Unity Cup is more forgiving this time. Faster training, better rewards, and higher rank opportunities might finally make all the effort feel worth it. I want to feel like progress matters instead of constantly watching my Umas fail no matter what I do. If this mode delivers on its promises, it might finally be the relief I’ve been waiting for.

I enjoy the original career mode, but it can feel repetitive after a while. The Unity Cup fixes that by giving a fresh start and rewards for effort. I like that support cards are more important now, because it encourages thinking about teamwork, not just stats. Having famous Umas like Haru Urara and Taiki Shuttle automatically join is a nice touch. I am curious if mixing smaller and larger teams really affects outcomes. Also, Riko’s presence as a strict leader gives the story some tension, which is missing in the normal mode. I will probably start with my favorite Uma and see how far I can push her rank in the first few runs.

I feel like Unity Cup is the most thoughtful update to Umamusume Global so far. The ability to use Umas I do not own is a big deal. It gives me a chance to test characters I could not access before. Team strategy now feels meaningful, and smaller teams being more effective adds a layer of choice. I also appreciate that earnings apply to the main account, so my progress in this event has lasting value. Riko being the acting chairwoman adds credibility to the competitive tone, and her professional attitude might motivate me to approach training differently. I am really looking forward to November 6 to see if the mode is as balanced as it seems.
