Under the Banner of Heaven
Under the Banner of Heaven is an upcoming True Crime drama. This limited series is based on a Best Selling Non-fiction book of the same title. Jon Krakauer wrote the book.
Dustin Lance Black wrote the script, and He is an Academy Award Winner for Best screenplay for the movie Milk. Black is also the showrunner of the successful TV Drama Big Love, a Polygamous version of Mormonism. He will now take on the more terrorizing variety of that Church.
This Hulu original is about a case of murders involving a more fundamentalist version of Mormonism (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ). Andrew Garfield is fresh from the Success of Spiderman: No Way Home. He will let go of the tights for a detective suit because he will lead this crime mystery.
Under the Banner of Heaven Official Trailer
A Righteous detective named Pyre (Andrew Garfield) will question his fate from his religion because he investigates a double murder case. Lafferty Brothers, who came from a prominent and respected family in Utah, are the culprits of this manslaughter.
The killers said that everything they did was in the name of the lord. Their fundamental take on Mormonism has crossed the line. They are members of an extremist version of Mormonism with a violent history of the faith. The Victims are An infant girl and her older brother. Both of them are children, which makes the case more revolting.
Mormonism is way too different from the past. They used to practice Polygyny, and they used to have a more racist view of Black people. The killers claimed that their act was under the banner of heaven. They did it in the name of God because he told them so.
Under the Banner of God will premiere in Hulu on FX this coming 2022.

Yes Andrew. Go get them. He might not be wearing tights this trip but notice how he’s still in good guy mode. Questioning his fate and all tells you he’s ready to call a spade a spade.

It feels so weird seeing him super serious like this because he is mostly a dorky and soofy guy.

That’s true too lol. We are so used to seeing him not at all serious that this makes you wonder, hmm.

This show could get comparisons with Tokyo Vice because both focuses in Investigation.
