TTRPG Time Force Is Coming To Our Century

Tabletop gaine designers Mythworks have announced Time Force, a new roleplaying game for 2-4 players and a GM. The game is scheduled to launch its own crowdfunding campaign next week.

Your and your friends are the CHRONONAUTS: a group of time travelers who come from an apocalyptic future they’re trying to prevent. This is accomplished by — how else — cruising across history, time and space to alter events. Only problem is, your crew really doesn’t know what it’s doing. “The unpredictable nature of time travel means the team will face quirky challenges and unforeseen consequences, adding layers of humor and excitement to the adventure,” says Mythworks.

Time Force was designed by Vincenzo Ferriero and Ray Chou, while the art on the box and inner material was crafted by Sebastián Adano. The dev team aims to create a fun and breezy TTRPG adventure that can be completed in a single session.

  • 2-4 players + GM, designed for a single-session adventure
  • Set in a near-apocalyptic 2055, players must travel through time to stop disaster
  • A lighthearted yet high-stakes adventure with unexpected, quirky outcomes
  • Easy-to-learn, fun-to-play mechanics inspired by Honey Heist and Blades in the Dark
  • Simple yet evocative time ripple mechanics that asks players to collectively discover how their actions affect the present.
  • Inspired by the time-traveling classics Quantum Leap, Stargate: SG-1, and Time Squad

We’ll have more on Time Force when the project launches its Kickstarter in a few days. See you in the future….

This sounds like a blast! Time travel shenanigans with friends? Count me in! I love the idea of a group of time travelers who don't quite know what they're doing. The potential for hilarious mishaps is endless. I am ready to play this game.

Hmmm time travel theme is definitely appealing. The idea of a group of bumbling time travelers trying to fix the future sounds hilarious. I'm especially interested in the "time ripple" mechanics; that could lead to some really creative and unexpected moments. I hope the rules are easy to learn, as they said. I don’t like complicated systems. I will be watching the kickstarter.
