RADWIMPS Release Shabadaba as the Theme Song for Japanese Political Drama PoliticaLupin
RADWIMPS have released Shabadaba, the theme song for the Japanese political entertainment drama PoliticaLupin, and the single is available now worldwide. The show’s production team asked the band for a song that would break with the usual drama theme, and frontman Yojiro Noda wrote the track from his own frustrations and anger. The band teased the release with posters at three subway stations in Tokyo, in the heart of Japan’s political district. The release also recaps the band’s current lineup, their scores for Makoto Shinkai’s Your Name., Weathering with You, and Suzume, and their 2025 20th anniversary album Anew.
