Theo Rossi Stars In The Getback, From Mutiny Films

Independent production company Mutiny Films has signed a deal with the ad-supported free streamer Tubi to produce four films that will debut there. The first of these, The Getback, was announced today, as well as its star, Theo Rossi.

You may best know Rossi for playing the love interest in Aubrey Plaza’s crime drama Emily the Criminal (which is now available to watch on Netflix). But he’s also had roles in FX’s Sons of Anarchy, Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead and the upcoming Carry On with Jason Bateman.

he The Getback, Rossi will be playing a hard-living bounty hunter on the hunt of a dangerous criminal. While he does capture his target, that’s only the beginning of his problems — apparently that target didn’t tell him everything and now the two are on the run from crooked cops and mercenaries.

The Getback is being produced by Demetrius Stear, Ace Kohn, Carolina Brasil, and Chadwick Struck, with Daniel Figueiredo, Ryan Francis, Richard Switzer, Ian Niles, and Chad Law serving as executive producers. “We are extremely excited to be working with the talented Theo Rossi,” says Stear. “He’s a committed actor who is dedicated to the process. The level of commitment he brings is second to none.”

The Getback is planned for release on Tubi later this year, with three other films from Mutiny due out there later.
