The Thundercats Get ULTIMATE

Ho! Collectible merchants Super7 have introduced a new wave of Thundercats figures to the market. Each figure measures seven inches tall and is now open for preorder individually, or as a set.

The lineup includes Claudius, Lion-O’s bearded father; Luna and Amok; Ro-Bear Bill and a Royal Thunderian Guard. Claudius comes with his Thunderian War Robot plans, a cane, and a time capsule. Lun aand Amok have multiple interchangeable heads and hands for both characters and a riding crop accessory. Ro-Bear Bill comes with an interchangeable head and multiple hands, a blueprint of the Cats’ Lair, lantern, torch, and more. With the Royal Thunderian Guard you get an interchangeable head and multiple hands, as well as a spear and a pair of blaster accessories.

In case you’re wondering “where’s Lion-O?” Super7 already made his figure. This is Wave 11 — all the big guys have been done already. Your only hope is that Claudius’s time capsule actually works.

But don’t despair — there are other figures to collect. Super7 just announced a partnership with Troma to put out a Toxic Avenger figure. He looks like this:

“Toxie may be ready for his Hollywood close-up, but is the rest of the world? We’ll soon find out!” Super7 says the figure is “inspired by the cult classic 1984 horror/comedy film The Toxic Avenger and features the mop-wielding anti-hero in a movie-realistic colorway. Featuring intricate sculpt and premium paint detailing, this figure also comes with multiple interchangeable heads and hands, and a bloody mop with American flag accessory. No matter how gruesome his appearance, true Toxic Avenger fans are going to love laying eyes on this made-to-order Movie Version Toxic Avenger ULTIMATES! figure!”

That’s all good, but you know what would really sell? If they made Lloyd Kaufman himself into a figure. Think about it, guys. You can preorder Toxie through this link; the Thundercats figures are available through the link shared earlier.

These Super 7 ThunderCats figures are gorgeous. I picked up the invisible Tigra from Big Bad Toy Store.

Thundercats ULTIMATES! Whoa, this takes me back to my childhood Saturday mornings. Claudius with his time capsule? Now that's a cool accessory! These figures look really detailed and well-made. Might have to snag a Lion-O (if I can find one) and complete the set.

Seeing these new Thundercats figures takes me right back to my childhood! Claudius and Luna were always such cool characters, and now they’re getting the attention they deserve. The level of detail in these figures is incredible, and I appreciate the interchangeable heads and hands. It shows that Super7 is really catering to the fans. The Toxic Avenger figure is a nice surprise too. It’s like a crossover of my favorite things from the 80s! I’m definitely going to check these out and maybe grab a few for my display shelf.

These figures look cool, but at seven inches tall, they’re going to need a lot of display space. I’m also wary about the price; these collectible figures can get pretty expensive, especially if you want the whole set. The accessories are a nice touch, though, and they do seem to be of high quality. I might just pick up Claudius and the Toxic Avenger for now. It’s important to balance passion with practicality, and my wallet only stretches so far!

I like the Thundercats but haven’t really gotten into collecting the figures. That said, these new ones look pretty cool. Claudius and the Royal Thunderian Guard seem like they’d be great for anyone who’s a die-hard fan. The Toxic Avenger figure is a wild choice and definitely adds some variety. I might not be the target audience for these collectibles, but I can see why they’d be appealing to those who are. It’s nice to see companies still catering to old-school fans.

Super7 is tapping into some deep nostalgia with these Thundercats figures, and it’s interesting to see how they keep the line fresh with characters like Claudius and Luna. The interchangeable parts are a nice touch that adds value. The Toxic Avenger figure is intriguing, especially with the attention to detail in the sculpt and paint. It’s like a piece of the 80s brought to life. I agree that a Lloyd Kaufman figure would be a hilarious and fitting addition. It’s great to see these cult classics getting the love they deserve.

Toxic Avenger getting the ULTIMATES! treatment? That's unexpected, but awesome! The movie may be a cult classic, but Toxie is a hilarious and surprisingly endearing character. The bloody mop with the American flag is a nice detail. Now I need a Troma villains box set!

Super7's figures are great canvases for customization. I can already picture some cool paint job ideas for these new Thundercats figures. Claudius with a battle-worn look? Luna with glowing eyes? The possibilities are endless!
