The Singing Scar Gets Trailer, Steam Greenlight Page
The Singing Scar, an RPG currently being developed by Dawit, has gotten a new trailer, as well as a Steam Greenlight campaign, with the developer highlighting many of the features that the finished game will have. You can see the full trailer for the game below. According to the developer, The Singing Scar will have:
- Convoluted Story
Overly-complex, heavy-handed and full of gaps, have “fun” figuring out what’s going on.
- Unique Battle System
Enemies become enraged and more dangerous with each hit they take, and so do your characters. Attack blindly at your own risk.
- Lateral Design
New weapons unlock more choices, instead of granting more power. Evolve your strategy as battles become increasingly complicated.
- Second Chances
This game is brutally difficult, or is it? Turn the tide of battle with last-ditch mechanics. Timing is everything.
The developer has also said that the game will have a number of other features, such as:
- 15 Hours of Story-driven Gameplay
- No Random Encounters
- No Lasting Death
- No Grinding Needed
- Harvest Resources
- Craft Items
- Save Anywhere
- Autosave that Triggers Before & After Major Battles
- Secrets
Describing The Singing Scar, the developer has said:
“This RPG is not everyone’s cup of tea: It’s filled with cryptic dialogue and complex lore; A unique battle system that forces you to think; Insane bosses will break your brain; And if you don’t pay attention, you will die.”
The developers have also spoken more about The Singing Scar, saying:
“It’s a science-fiction adventure set in a post-apocalyptic, fantasy universe; A human sacrifice, fallen gods, titans and wielders of emotion; All struggling to set the world right. With your guiding hand, they might.”
According to the developer, the game is currently already fully developed, and it seems like the game is only going through the Steam Greenlight process as somewhat of a formality. So far, it seems that what’s currently on show for the game has received some praise, although some constructive criticism. You can find The Singing Scar on Steam Greenlight here.
