The other Zoey is coming this November!

This  romantic comedy, directed by Sarah Zandieh and written by Matthew Tabak is set to hit theaters on November 10, 2023. The film stars Josephine Langford as Zoey Miller, Drew Starkey as Zach McLaren, Archie Renaux as Miles, and Maggie Thurmon as Zoey Wallace, delivering a story of mistaken identity and unexpected love.

Josephine Langford gained fame through her portrayal of Tessa Young in the “After” quadrilogy. Finally, she takes on a leading role in a romantic comedy after primarily being associated with darker romances.

Zoey Miller(Josephine Langford) is a college student with a singular focus on her studies. She’s smart and dedicated to her academic achievements and future. Romance is not on her radar.

However, her life takes an unexpected spin when Zach(Drew Starkey), the captain of the boys‘ soccer team, suffers from amnesia. Most amnesiacs forget their name and their loved ones, but Zach remembers his girlfriend’s name: Zoey Wallace.

The catch? His Girlfriend, Zoey Wallace is away on vacation, and the only Zoey in his immediate vicinity is Zoey Miller. He mistakenly believes she is his girlfriend, and the other Zoey has no clue about the mix-up.Reluctantly, Zoey plays along with the amnesiac’s assumption. She even finds herself in situations where she has to meet Zach’s parents as his girlfriend and go on a ski vacation with them.

As Zoey grapples with this bizarre scenario, she can’t help but feel an unexpected attraction to Zach. Things get even more complicated when she meets Zach’s cousin, Miles.

 

Miles and Zoey share a lot in common, both being studious and nerdy. Zoey, despite her initial reluctance, starts to pretend to be Zach’s girlfriend to spend more time with Miles.The inevitable question looms: What will happen to Zoey when the truth inevitably comes out? How will the other Zoey react?

I'm really glad Josephine Langford is branching out into a different genre where she doesn't have to focus on those intimate scenes. It can be tough for actresses to break free from the shadow of their previous roles, just like Dakota Johnson faced with "50 Shades of Grey." Here's hoping "The Other Zoey" opens up new opportunities for her to explore wholesome and diverse roles in the future

I, like, totally had my reservations about 'After,' you know? It was, like, full of issues, and seeing Josephine Langford switch to a teen romcom after that franchise was, like, a big surprise! But hey, maybe it's a chance for her to, like, shake off the past and explore some more fun and light-hearted roles. Here's hoping 'The Other Zoey' turns out to be a fresh start for her!

Totally, like, isn't it just, like, super weird how Hollywood keeps picking these older actors for teen roles? I mean, seriously, they're supposed to be high schoolers, but they look way too, like, grown-up for that. It's, like, seriously confusing

,You know, "The Other Zoey" sounds strangely familiar to me, like I've seen a movie with a similar plot a few years ago. I can't quite put my finger on the title, but I distinctly remember a mix-up involving amnesia and mistaken identities. It's like déjà vu.
