Indie horror film The Nursery is getting the royal treatment on DVD soon, thanks to Uncork’d Entertainment. The film has already been available on VOD platforms since June 5, but this will be its first time on physical media.
The DVD was announced along with the VOD release months ago, but at the time we didn’t know what was in it. Turns out, quite a bit. This is not just a simple dump job — it has a full audio commentary, making-of segments and more.
The Nursery’s executive producers, Glenn Chung, Chris Micklos, and Jay Sapiro, released a joint statement in response to the news: “To get a full-blown DVD release of The Nursery is incredibly exciting. We wanted to give our fans some fun and interesting extras that would get them behind the scenes of The Nursery and give them a sense of what this journey has been like for us as first-time filmmakers. And the DVD has given us the perfect opportunity to do that!”
When a damaged college sophomore babysits for a family with a tragic history, she finds herself stalked by a sinister presence and haunted by ghosts from her own past. Soon, she and her friends must confront the angry spirit hunting them down one-by-one on a deliberate march towards its ultimate prey.
The Nursery stars Emmaline Friederichs, Madeline Conway, and Carly Rae James Sauer, and was directed by Christopher A. Micklos and Jay Sapiro. Check out its DVD release August 7.
