The Lighthouse Arrives This July
Can two men survive in one dwelling without driving each other crazy? Sounds like the premise for The Odd Couple, but this is actually the true story behind The Lighthouse, the next release from Uncork’d Entertainment.
After two Englishmen are shipwrecked on a small rocky island, their only means of shelter is the lighthouse built in the middle. They can’t be rescued until the storm passes, and in the meantime the isolation begins to gnaw at their sanity. Can they keep their minds clear and avoid attacking one another in fits of madness? Trailer says “no.”
The Lighthouse stars Michael Jibson (Hunter Killer, Beauty and the Beast) and Mark Lewis Jones (Star Wars : The Last Jedi, “Game of Thrones”), and was directed by Chris Crow. It was nominated for five BAFTA awards including Best Director and Best Actor, and won for Best Visual Effects.
The Lighthouse will have a limited theatrical run beginning July 6; check local listings to see if it’s playing in your area. If not, the VOD release won’t be long after that, coming four days later on July 10.
And this’d be the trailer…
