Per Curious Panda’s Kickstarter Page for The Iron Oath, some new details were revealed for the upcoming RPG. The game is now past its initial funding goal and looks to hit its Guild Council stretch goal. And it only needs about $7,000 to hit the next stretch goal.
In the new update, Curious Panda revealed new details on the game’s resource management for missions. Players in the game can collect items, and each item has a capacity value, and there is only limited bag space to carry items.
There are Health potions, which can range from small to very large in size. These items will restore health. The Elixirs will grant characters various buffs in the game, condition immunities or damage resistances. There are Antidotes to cure poisons and grant temporary immunities. There are bandages that can cure the bleed condition from injuries. The Salves cure burn damage. Lock-picks can be used to unlock doors or chests players cannot get into. Firewood items can be used to built campfires. Of course there is Food to restore both Health and Spirit for everyone in the game.
Players can also discover rarer items through the game, including special incenses. Incenses can be added to campfires to ward off spirits or grant bonuses to characters. Additionally, players can build campfires when they have firewood. The campfires will serve to rest and restore party’s health, spirit, and mental state. During campfires, players can use items and also converse, discussing the tasks of the game or even just making small talk. This can help raise the spirit of the party or even cause it to go lower.
The Iron Oath is a new RPG that is currently in development. It does not yet have an official release date. More details are available at the Kickstarter page located above.
