The Cycle Begins Weekly Playtests Today
Development studio YAGER has begun alpha playtests for their upcoming competitive quest shooter The Cycle. Sign up by visiting the official website.
You’ve landed on Fortuna III, a planet just as dangerous as it is beautiful. A fortune could be yours if you can harvest resources before your competitors do, and this is assuming you can skillfully dodge and/or destroy the murderous wildlife out for your blood. The game supports single-player sessions, but you’ll probably have an easier time playing with friends.
Starting today, YAGER will be testing The Cycle once per week. Anyone can sign up to take part in these tests The tests will be continue until the launch of the closed beta, the date of which has yet to be determined (“late spring” is the word). Your progress in the game will be retained after every session, and should even be accessible in the closed beta.
“The team at YAGER is committed to an open, community-driven development environment, and is looking to give players a recurring chance to try the game and offer feedback on new features, content and ongoing developments, as well as input on what they would like to see from the game in the future.”
Two trailers lie below: the gameplay trailer from GDC, and a development update video from YAGER. The Cycle is still under development with an official release TBD.
