Target has released its Black Friday ad, and here are the video game related deals you can find at the shop, provided you can get to them. It’s worth noting Target’s sale begins at 6 PM the previous day — which would normally be Thanksgiving dinner for most people, except the retail workers of Target who have no choice. The CEO of Target will be eating at the normal time.
But, uh, putting that out of your mind….Nintendo has introduced a new Wii U bundle for the holiday season that includes Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon in the same package. Target will be selling that version for $249.99, which is a discount of $120.
The PS4 bundle with the Uncharted collection in it will be $300, however that’s a price most other big box stores are offering and some (Gamestop and Best Buy) will also give you a free copy of Fallout 4 upon purchase. Target has also limited the $300 PS4 to the opening of the sale, meaning you would have to be there that hour (and not eat). My advice: forget this one.
On the XBox side of things, many stores are offering a $300 XBox One, but Target will throw in a $60 gift card upon purchase, enough for another game. And there are plenty of games on sale…Bloodborne is $20, Batman: Arkham Knight is $25, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Need for Speed, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, Destiny: The Taken King and others are all $35. Halo 5: Guardians, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Splatoon and Super Mario Maker are still at normal pricing but come with $15 gift cards.
