Sega Is Reviving Five Game Properties…Maybe Six
The problem with the game industry releasing 10,000 trailers at the same time, as they did last weekend during the Game Awards, is that it all becomes noise, and a lot of developers won’t get quite as MUCH attention as they hoped. But when I think back on that noisy night a few days ago, a few things managed to stick out, and one was Sega announcing FIVE games based on their classic properties, out of nowhere. Don’t you hate it when game studios that have been around for a while just sit on a beloved series instead of doing anything with it? That’s not Sega, at least not today. They’re bringing back Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, and Crazy Taxi — all five have new installments currently in development. And there may be a sixth!
