We’ve got a new patch for Final Fantasy XIV Online! Patch 5.45 is now available on all versions of the game (PC, Mac and PS4). The feature attraction of this update is the new chapter in the “Save The Queen” multi-part quest series written by Yasumi Matsuno. The battle for the Bozjan southern front continues, and also introduces Delubrum Reginae — a new large-scale battle set in the ruins of Queen Gunnhildr’s kingdom.

We’re a little late on posting this one, but there’s still time. Those who have abandoned their Final Fantasy XIV accounts (for at least 30 days) have been given a chance by Square to try the new Shadowbringers expansion free of charge. The offer expires on the 16th, so there’s not much time left, but it’s still active at least.
Put down the firework and hot dog and pick up your controller, because no national holiday is an excuse to miss Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers. The latest update to the popular MMORPG is live, and it brings with it all this cool stuff!
Prince Noctis, the main character of Final Fantasy XV, decided to put his car in reverse and drive one Roman numeral backwards into Final Fantasy XIV, where he’s guest-starring for the next month in the MMO.
If a brand new storyline — Stormbringers — is coming to Final Fantasy XIV soon, that means the storyline that’s currently there now has to get out of the way. And so the Stormblood narrative wraps up this week with Patch 4.56, in which players will become Warriors of Darkness and explore the First World area of Norvrandt.
This weekend at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in Japan, producer and director Naoki Yoshida dropped a boatload of new information regarding Shadowbringers, the third expansion on the way to the game this summer.
The Final Fantasy Festival is on in Las Vegas, and Square took the occasion to drop some major news: the next big expansion to Final Fantasy XIV is coming in the summer of 2019. Its technical name is version 5.0, but it’ll be known to most of us as Shadowbringers. Multiple new features are in the works, including the ability to replay old missions with a New Game+ feature.
Patch 4.45 has launched in Final Fantasy XIV! In this latest update, the story of The Forbidden Land of Eureka continues. Players will uncover Eureka Pyros, a dangerous network of caves where one wrong step could send you tumbling into boiling lava. There’s that, and the return of the great inspector, Hildibrand!
All Saints’ Wake is an event that takes place in Final Fantasy XIV Online each year around this time, and it did not skip 2018. Anyone who logs into the game today will find festive Halloweeny decorations, a haunted mansion to explore and seasonal rewards to earn.
The next big update to Final Fantasy XIV is arriving very soon. On September 18 Square will activate Patch 4.4, which finishes up the Omega Raid series with the Alphascape raid — a quest that introduces powerful new bosses.
Thanks to the Final Fantasy XIV Companion App, you can take the game with you — sort of. It’s impossible to play the processor-heavy full MMO on a mobile device, but you can perform extraneous activities like chat with friends, schedule in-game events, sell things in the game, or manage your inventory items. Starting today you’ll be able to do more than just that, though not for free.
While you were sleeping, one of the biggest MMOs around (Final Fantasy XIV) and one of the most popular survival hunting games in existence (Monster Hunter World) became one. Well….sort of. Some of the biggest monsters from Capcom’s hit title are visiting Square’s game for the next few weeks, and hunting them down can net you some big rewards.
