If there’s a consensus among Dishonored fans, it’s that 2 1/2 video games weren’t enough. The world Arkane Studios created was so rich and full of detail that it could have supported many more stories, but Arkane has moved on to other projects, and so has publisher Bethesda…the best thing anyone can do is make their own stories up. Luckily, a tool is coming to help you do just that!
Bethesda Softworks has officially announced the release date for Dishonored 2. The game is currently scheduled to launch on Friday, November 11. That release date is one week after the launch for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Dishonored 2 is also set to receive a world gameplay premiere at Bethesda’s E3 Showcase on June 12.
Fans were really excited when Dishonored 2 was officially announced at E3 this past June, and it came with a trailer that both mystified and astounded those who are fans of the title. In a special video released by Arkane and narrated by co-creative director Harvey Smith, we get to find out some of the secrets behind the announcement trailer:

Developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda, few people knew what to expect from Dishonored. Was it a stealthy action game? Did it feature an open world? With Bethesda in the mix there were even questions as to its technical quality and just how much of a hand the giant publisher had in its creation and development. Thankfully for us, most of these questions have been answered with Dishonored’s release and I’m here to say that overall it’s a fantastic game.(more…)

Arkane Studios offers us all something of a behind-the-scenes look at the art, effort, and talent that has gone into the creation of their soon-to-be-released title, Dishonored.
Here we have a nifty little video featuring the developers behind Dishonored talking about the darkly unique world they’ve put together for us. It’s a world full of intrigue, backdoor politics, plague, violence, oppression and magical assassins. So naturally Dishonored is shaping up to be one of the most interesting games of the year and, with any luck, could be something really special. Here we have a nifty CGI Trailer for Dishonored showing off some of the story and slightly embellished gameplay. It looks pretty great. I think it’ll be a surprise hit with a lot of gamers in a year of huge sequels. Check out the trailer below.
