Syrinscape Presents: What Grows Within
Syrinscape, the Australian company specializing in music and effects tracks to enhance your tabletop games, has been releasing the “Strange Aeons Adventure Path” over the last few months — tracks meant to be used with the Pathfinder RPG’s Strange Aeons storyline. Today they’ve launched What Grows Within, an enhancement for the fifth chapter.
The pack is intended for the Parchlands region of the game, and includes sounds for “a haunted cityscape, a swarm encounter, an epic battle with a juggernaut, an anti-gravity room with reverse heartbeat, flying polyps, massive caves, a Naga, a Devourer, a black-winged Hunting Horror, Ash Giants and much more.”
Benjamin Loomes, Syrinscape’s CEO and Creative Director, has made a video demonstrating how to use the What Grows Within soundset in your Pathfinder game (or any other game where you feel it’d fit). Have a look and listen below.
If you have a Syrinscape subscription, What Grows Within is already yours — all you have to do is download it. Otherwise, it can be purchased individually through the Syrinscape website for $17.60.
After finding the route to the lost city of Neruzavin, the adventurers must mount an expedition into the vast and deadly desert region called the Parchlands, where they hope to catch up to their treacherous former employer. Once they brave the heat-blasted wasteland, the heroes arrive in an abandoned city at the edge of a lake where a Great Old One slumbers. The adventurers must track Count Lowls’s party, recover a vile tome, activate the city’s Star Stelae, and perform a powerful ritual that allows them to follow the insane noble to Carcosa. Along the way, the heroes must be careful they don’t wake the slumbering Great Old One or stir up the flying polyps sealed beneath the city!
