You can check out the latest video to the upcoming sequel to Master of Shadows in the player below. The new video showcases some new features as well as the new engine for the game built with Unreal Engine 4.
In Shards of Darkness, Styx is in business in Thoben, the City of Thieves. He then makes a surprising deal with a mysterious human officer Helledryn. This time around, he is looking to steal the ambassador’s scepter, a coveted object that nefarious parties are interested in. For the goblin, the reward is worth the risk because in return, the officer promises a great quantity of a resource he’s desperately looking for: magic amber, the source of Styx’s power.
Styx will have to use his stealth to evade Dwarves, Elves and other manner of races to steal the scepter. He will have a number of abilities at his disposal, including assassination, amber powers, talents and skills, equipment and crafting. Each race in the game excels at a different skill. The Dark Elves are expect goblin hunters. The Dwarves have a supernatural sense of smell, so they have an easy way to track Styx down.
Shards of Darkness is due out later this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The final release date will be revealed later. Cyanide Studio and Focus will be showcasing the game at E3 next week as well.
