Listen up Marines! There’s a new trailer out for Gearbox’s much anticipated shooter, Aliens: Colonial Marines. This multiplayer gameplay video shows off the intense Alien versus Marine online combat. This video confirms that you can aim down the sight of the pulse rifle. A new type of alien appears to be playable in the multiplayer. Enjoy.

- There will be a variety of objective based modes but also instant action team deathmatch.
- Multiplayer features a long term unlock system not unlike most modern shooters, always giving you something new to go after.
- In-depth weapon customization with multiple slots that can be used to alter your weapon to your play style.
- Alien players also have a variety of customization “slots” that will upgrade their abilities
- Aliens are playable in 3rd person so as to cut down on the complaints of disorientation when climbing on walls in 1st person.
- Yes, Aliens can climb on virtually any surface including walls and ceilings.
- Aliens have a unique form of vision that allows them to see the marines through walls in order to set up ambushes.
- Aliens have several different classes or species to chose from, including the tough and all around balanced soldier alien, the more agile but vulnerable lurker alien (based on the Alien from the original film), and some as yet unannounced types.
- The so-called Crusher Alien, a massive bull styled alien seen in other previews, will be playable in multiplayer. The marines are warned of his arrival by a chilling roar that will echo throughout the level.
- Aliens appear to be able to perform one hit kills on marines if certain circumstances are met.
- Acid blood is a real threat and will stay on the environment for some time, burning anyone who comes near.
- Marines will be able to use motion trackers in MP, and you can hear the beeps of your teammate’s trackers when you’re nearby.
- The marine smartgun can be picked up from a potentially random location in several maps, providing auto-locking fire for as long as your limited ammunition lasts. This comes with a very cool eyepiece hud effect.
- A Marine’s armor can be customized with 2 different slots. Whether this is just visual or if it has a major benefit is unknown.
- Levels are large, atmospheric and based off locations from the movies and entirely new set-pieces.
- Multiplayer progress and unlocks can be brought over to singleplayer and co-op, and vice versa.
