Star Fox Zero May Have Online Play
In the modern age of gaming, it is rare for big name titles to not have some type of online play. There are exceptions of course, but, the age of playing with your friends, or even just battling people from all over the world, is now such a time honored tradition, it’s weird when certain games don’t have it. Especially, when those games have the mechanics for potentially fantastic multiplayer.
Such was the case when Nintendo revealed last year that Star Fox Zero would not have online play. This boggled the minds of gamers for several reasons. Not the least of which was that the 3DS remake of Star Fox 64 did have online play, and, the Wii U had proven to be a very competent online playing device. Thus, the idea of this new title not having online battles, whether it be local, co-op, or full on online, was almost ludicrous.
Now though, via the delay that pushed the release from November last year to Spring this year, a multiplayer component may have been added. This possibility comes to light via the Australian classification for the game, which states that Star Fox Zero has “online interactivity”. Now, Nintendo has not confirmed that it will indeed have online play, however, with the release looming, new details may be coming soon.
