Sony E3 Press Conference Recap
And so comes round two of the E3 major conferences for the big publishers. First was Microsoft, and now, the Sony E3 Press Conference. Sony has the lead in regards to console sales, and so this E3 is key for them to maintain that lead. Did they they deliver? We’ll recap all that happened, and let you be the judge.
First up, in a move that pleased the entire crowd, The Last Guardian was reintroduced to the world, showing off the beautiful graphics and a hint of the game that will be attached to it. Though we only got a release date of 2016, many fans will be happy to know that this game true does still exist.
Next up came Guerrilla Games, who unveiled a brand new title called Horizon: Zero Dawn, a game that seeks to blend a primitive yet future civilization, full of mystery, adventure, and plenty of action.
How about some Hitman? Does that sound like fun? The newest Hitman game will feature the return of Agent 47 in his prime, carrying out new and exciting missions. Check out the new trailer!
An interesting franchise that is (for this interation) a PS4 exclusive is Street Fighter V. At the Sony E3 Press Conference, they revealed that Birdie and Cammie will both be in the game. Check out these new challengers!
And just when you think that Sony couldn’t go any bigger, they dropped not one but two Final Fantasy games in gamers’ laps. First up? An interesting take on the franchise with World of Final Fantasy.
Then they decided to do a remake of Final Fantasy VII. It is true, and it is finally happening.
Sony still wasn’t done showing off interesting titles. Next up came Campo Santos’ very interesting title Firewatch. The game is about two forest rangers who find out that something is wrong in their literal neck of the woods.
Then, Media Molecule arrived to show off their newest invention, one that’ll literally allow you to craft any and all dreams you can make. This one is seriously trippy, so it may take you a minute or two to get what’s going on.
In a surprising move, Sony then dedicated some time to not show off a game that would be coming, but rather one that could be coming. Shenmue 3, a title that many a fan has wanted made for a while, is going to Kickstarter to try and make this game a reality. Sony brought out Yu Suzuki to launch the Kickstarter from their stage. You can check out the Kickstarter and pledge to it here!
Sony soon delved into other titles that would be coming to their consoles, with looks at Assassins Creed Syndicate, No Man’s Sky, a quartet of titles from Devolver Games, Batman: Arkham Knight, Call of Duty Black Ops 3, and more. However, they arguably saved the best games for last, after showing off Disney Infinity 3.0.
They jumped straight into Battlefront, highlighting a new Survival Mode that’ll happen in the game, along with lots of other cool stuff you’ll be able to play!
Then finally (after a hiccup or two), Sony unveiled an up close and personal look at Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
