Smallville Season 11 will be animated
Smallville Season 11 is the continuation of the comic of the beloved TV series. In 2013 DC made Season 11 as a comic book. That is three years since the season 10 finale. Fans longed for an adaptation, but it didn’t happen. Smallville is a Teenage drama about a young Clark Kent before he became Superman. That show lasted for ten seasons, but fans never get to see Clark Kent sporting the blue suit. It is the only continuity where Lex Luthor and Clark Kent started as best friends.
I wish I get to see Tom Welling in a Superman suit, but he spent most of the series in civilian attire. Had this comic became a season, we could have seen that. The last time Welling played Clark Kent is at the CW Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Two. Clark retired on that continuity and lived an ordinary life as a father and husband.
The actors moved on to different projects. It has been almost two decades since the show ended, and that made it impossible for the show to be live-action. Smallville Season 11 picks up 6 months after the series finale. Most of the cast except Kristin Kreuk, who played Lana Lang, aged. Allison Mack also won’t come back because of her controversies.
Smallville Season 11 will finally be adapted, as a visual media, with most of the original cast reprising their roles. To compensate for the actors’ aging, It will be an animation. That is the best way for the original actors to reprise their roles while keeping the characters young. Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum are confirmed to return as Clark Kent and Lex Luthor. Erica Durance, who played Lois Lane, is also very likely to come back.
Something to look forward to in Smallville Season 11 is the debut of popular DC superheroes. Wonder Woman is one of the characters Clark will meet.
