If you’ve wanted to play Silent Hill: Downpour for your Xbox One, you are finally in luck because a bunch of new games are now backwards compatible as of this week for the Xbox One. Larry Hyrb revealed in a tweet on his official account this week that a group of new games are about to get some backwards compatibility for the Xbox One console. Among those game titles set to receive some Xbox One backward compatibility for this week are Silent Hill: Downpour, Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard, and Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords.
In fact you can check out the full list of backwards compatible games for the Xbox One at this link. Backwards compatibility is really one of the better aspects for the Xbox One that Microsoft has embraced in the last year. Hopefully, that trend is going to continue. Currently, there are over 250 video games that are backwards compatible for the Xbox one.
Silent Hill: Downpour was first released in 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game follows the story of prison inmate Murphy Pendleton, who is stranded in the town of Silent Hill after a prison transfer bus crashes. It’s no Silent Hills, but at least it’s nice to play the older games on the current-generation hardware.
