It’s Finally Showtime: The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Teaser

It’s no longer just a rumor, or a discarded script in the dark corners of the Internet about going Hawaiian: Beetlejuice 2, or Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, is real enough now for the first teaser trailer to poke out of the model graveyard.

Winona Ryder returns to the role of Lydia Deetz. Catherine O’Hara is also back in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice as Delia, her self-absorbed mother. Jenna Ortega plays Lydia’s offspring, and looks remarkably like Young Lydia did in similar gothwear so many years ago. But the most important cast member in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (who took up less of the original film than you remember) is Michael Keaton as the striped ghoul himself, the man so nice they named the film after him twice.

Is using a “dramatic” recreation of the Banana Boat Song too predictable and on the nose for something like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice? Most definitely, but did they do it? Yes:

THE LOOK ON LYDIA’S FACE. Mwaha!

After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.

As for how Beetlejuice Beetlejuice finally got this moving, perhaps we can point to Netflix’s Wednesday as a catalyst, in which Jenna Ortega starred, Burton produced, and Alfred Gough and Miles Millar wrote. All four came together for the production of this movie.

It’s Finally Showtime! Get ready for the highly-anticipated Beetlejuice Beetlejuice teaser featuring the iconic Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice and the talented Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz. Mark your calendars for September 6th, when this thrilling film hits theaters. Don’t miss out on this spooktacular experience!

Even after 36 years away from the character, Michael Keaton has all of the fun that defines him as Beetlejuice. In one statement, watching him makes me nostalgic and really joyful. It's incredible that Michael Keaton performed Beetlejuice before playing Batman, especially considering he went more than 30 years without playing Batman before resuming his role as Beetlejuice. I'm overjoyed that he was able to reprise this role after so many years.

Keaton's decision to play the part again is intriguing because it fits the character better given his advanced age. He has a more iconic appearance than you may anticipate for Beetlejuice. It's evident from the original that they were trying to make him appear older and more worn out, even though he was a younger man. He's actually reached the right age for the role now.

Beetlejuice was an iconic part of my childhood, and seeing Michael Keaton back in action as the mischievous ghoul brings back so many memories. Winona Ryder's return as Lydia Deetz is like seeing an old friend again. It's exciting to see how they'll bring back that same dark humor and inventive storytelling that made the original film such a hit. And let's not forget the new cast additions like Jenna Ortega, who seems like a perfect fit for the Beetlejuice universe.

You know, I've been skeptical about sequels lately, but this one has got me intrigued. Beetlejuice was such a unique film, and it's good to see that they're bringing back the original cast members. Michael Keaton was born to play Beetlejuice, no doubt about it. Plus, Winona Ryder's return adds that extra touch of authenticity. I just hope they can capture the same magic as the first film. The teaser looks promising, but I'll reserve my judgment until I see the full movie. Fingers crossed it lives up to the hype!

Whoa, talk about a blast from the past! Beetlejuice was one of those movies that defined my childhood, so seeing a sequel in the works is like revisiting a piece of my own history. Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice was iconic, and I can't imagine anyone else stepping into those shoes. The teaser definitely captured the essence of the original film, and I'm excited to see how they'll expand on the story. Winona Ryder's return is the cherry on top!
