SDCC 2017: The Flash Film Will Be Flashpoint
At the Warner Bros panel, a special sizzle reel was shown off, and with it came reveals about the future of the DCEU. One of hte most troubled projects so far was shown up there in The Flash. However, on that special logo was the word “Flashpoint.”
For those who are unaware, Flashpoint was one of the most important comic book events in DC Comics history. Where the Flash basically rewrote history in order to save his mother, and in the process basically destroyed the world. When he “fixed” things, the New 52 was created, and a whole new line of books with it.
The fact that The Flash film is starting off with this is very interesting, and you have to wonder if they will indeed do this “elseworld” of a story. Or, if they’ll take the story and go into another direction. The film has no director as of yet, and it has been delayed from its original release date, so it’s going to be interesting to see how this evolves.
