Each of the Marvel/Netflix collaborations have done well to separate each other from the other shows, thus show each characters uniqueness before they come together as the Defenders.
In a chat with IGN, Marvel CCO Joe Quesada revealed that what will make Iron Fist unique isn’t just the darkness that will be in the show, and the martial arts aspect, but also the sheer number of villains Danny Rand will be facing.
“I would say that Iron Fist has probably more villains in our first season than any of our other shows,” Quesada said.
No footage was shown as of yet, but, Quesada did note that there will be a lot of history from Marvel written into the storyline of the first season.
No release date or period has been attached to Iron Fist as of yet.
