Rocket League Getting Dying Light DLC
Techland and Psyonix have officially announced that there will be some new Dying Light-themed content arriving in Rocket League. In addition, Dying Light: The Following will be receiving some Rocket League-themed content of its own. You can check out a trailer for the Dying Light and Rocket League collaboration in the player below.
The collaboration was arranged as the Techland developers of Dying Light are huge fans of Rocket League. Producer Tymon Smektala stated, “We’re huge fans of Rocket League and because both games offer great driving fun, we thought why not just partner up and give fans of both games some unique stuff.”
Rocket League Social Media Marketing Manager Kyle Lemmon added on the collaboration: “Rocket League’s continuing success helped us foster some really awesome partnerships for Psyonix, so when Techland reached out to us we thought being included in a AAA title like Dying Light made a whole lot of sense for both communities.”
When players use their dirt buggies now in Dying Light: The Following, they can give them a unique Rocket League paint job. This can be done using the official docket code LightMyRocket, which can be redeemed at this link. As an added bonus, players in Rocket League will be able to decorate their rides with some Dying Light-inspired details.
This appears to be a sound choice for both companies, considering that Dying Light has the dirt buggy gameplay. Rocket League has recently been getting more creative with some of its DLC as of late. Other than Dying Light, Psyonix collaborated with Warner Bros. Interactive to bring some Batman v Superman DLC to Rocket League. Earlier this week, a new DLC launched for the game that let players use the Batmobile.
Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition and Rocket League are both available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
